    A message from Noah

“I think it’s more important than ever that Southern Oregon has a strong voice in our state senate. Politicians and bureaucrats in Portland and Salem have spent decades attacking our critical natural resource industries with laws, rules, and regulations that threaten our way of life. I have worked with grassroots conservative activists throughout the state for many years now, and I will work productively and effectively to represent our rural values.”

    Meet Noah Robinson, PhD

Noah is a Caltech-educated research scientist. He is the author of many scientific papers – including a co-author of the most widely read scientific review article on “climate change,” which shows that human use of hydrocarbon fuels like gasoline is not changing the earth’s climate.

Noah has extensive experience in both state and local politics and knows how to be effective.

He was instrumental in two major campaigns in Josephine County to stop bureaucratic overreach and along with countless volunteers won those ballot measures the first time with a 79% vote. Noah and his family have worked with Republicans around the state to defend their counties from liberal attacks.

    An Outstanding Education Professional

Noah and his family are experts in education. At the age of 15, Noah oversaw the project to put together and market the second, and most comprehensive, version of their self-teaching home school curriculum. The Robinson Curriculum has educated more than 100,000 students worldwide. The methods used are directly applicable to public school students.

An outstanding home-school student himself, Noah finished college calculus at the age of 15 and went on to study college-level physics and chemistry before applying to college. He took numerous advanced placement exams and tested out of so many courses that he entered the chemistry program at Southern Oregon University as a junior. He graduated in two years with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Noah then applied to graduate school. His graduate record exam grades of 800, 800, and 770 were very unusual in an era when it was nearly impossible to get a perfect 800.

He was accepted everywhere he applied, including being the top choice of the chemistry program at MIT and at Caltech. He chose Caltech, where he graduated in just over 3 years with a PhD in chemistry.

After earning his PhD, Noah worked with Nobel Laureate Dr. Bruce Merrifield at Rockefeller University in New York City and his father Dr. Art Robinson at the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine. They synthesized more than 900 peptides in an effort to understand a specialized reaction in protein chemistry called “deamidation,” which is a timing mechanism in biochemistry.

The work he accomplished allowed for a complete determination of the peptide deamidation rates. Noah followed on this work with his favorite theoretical paper based on these measurements. Using models of atoms and their experimentally determined rates, Noah was able to figure out mechanistically why the rates followed certain patterns in a truly elegant quantitative approach. Noah and Art then used this work as a foundation to develop models for predicting deamidation rates of amides in proteins.

But his work in science is not limited to specialized subjects. He has worked on science that directly affects people’s lives and is critical to current political discussions.

In 2007, Noah was a co-author with Dr. Art Robinson and Dr. Willie Soon on a review article entitled “Environmental Effects of Increased Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide.” This review article showed definitively that burning hydrocarbons like the gasoline in your car was having no measurable effect on the earth’s temperature.

He has also published papers on advanced medical diagnostics.

“I’m committed to representing you in Salem.

I will fight for your Constitutional rights, including those granted under the Second Amendment, and to limit the state government’s ability to infringe on your freedom. I will defend your property rights and work tirelessly to carry out the vision of this nation’s founding fathers.”

    The Issues

I support freedom from government overreach.
Working with my father, Senator Art Robinson, we have fought oppression from over-taxation and over-regulation of businesses – especially small businesses at the state level.

I will work to Preserve Your Individual Rights and Freedoms.
I will fight for your Constitutional rights, including those granted under the Second Amendment of our United States constitution, and I will work to limit the state government’s ability to infringe on your freedoms. I will defend your property rights and work tirelessly to carry out the vision of our nation’s founding fathers.

I will stand with you in preserving Conservative Oregon values.
As longtime Southern Oregon residents and Constitutional conservatives, my family and I have spent decades standing up to radical environmentalists who continue to threaten our most vital industries like logging, ranching, farming, mining, and other businesses. I will work to protect our Second Amendment, our property rights, and our individual liberties as your new State Senator.

I am committed to Protecting Our Natural Resource Industries.
I am running for Oregon Senate District 2 to be the strong voice that our timber, mining, ranching, farming, and other businesses need. I will stand up to all of the special interests who use the courts and the legislative process to undermine our prosperity.

I am certain I can help Improve our Children’s Education.
As your next District 2 Senator, I will work hard to improve the existing education system. I will use my experience, as a student and an educator to help our children receive the quality education they deserve. I have more than 30 years of K-12 teaching experience in our family business.

I am a Strong Defender of Life.
I know that life begins at conception, and no-one but God has the right to take that life. I will stand with Oregon’s women, born and not-yet born, to preserve the sanctity of life for all.
